I am so excited to be participating, for the sixth year, in the 2017 CHOC Walk in the Park at the Disneyland Resort on August 27th to raise funds for CHOC Children's Hospital! The fundraising efforts of the CHOC Walk make an immediate impact on families going through the most challenging time in their lives. CHOC provides the highest level of care not only to patients, but to the siblings, parents, and extended family that make up their critical support teams. I started walking in 2012 because Sarah had spent the first week of her life in the NICU (at a different hospital). That week was the worst week of my life, but also gave me a very small glimpse into what many of the families who must visit CHOC experience during their stay. I also want to support my sister who works with the most fragile of the patients in CHOC's NICU.
