Mrs. Helper is a St. Lucy's alum and one of our school's counselors. Since 2012, the Helper family has walked with CHOC for their son Justin, who was born with Lissencephaly ARX, a rare brain disorder that, for Justin, brings seizures, chronic lung disease, and gastrointestinal complications requiring outpatient treatment and sometimes hospital stays at CHOC. St. Lucy's is so thankful for the hard work CHOC has done to keep Justin stable and support the ever-loving Helper family. CHOC has been a warm, positive and inviting environment for such wonderful families like the Helpers. CHOC has been their "home away from home", and your help can make a real difference. We are so excited to be participating in the 2017 CHOC Walk in the Park at the Disneyland Resort on August 27th to raise funds for CHOC Children's Hospital! The fundraising efforts of the CHOC Walk make an immediate impact on families going through the most challenging time in their lives. CHOC provides the highest level of care not only to patients, but to the siblings, parents, and extended family that make up their critical support teams.
