I am so excited to be participating in the 2017 CHOC Walk in the Park at the Disneyland Resort on August 27th to raise funds for CHOC Children's Hospital! This year is the first year we will be walking in the CHOC walk. Our son, Zachary, became a CHOC kid on 1/1/17 when we were transferred there to receive more specialized care for his respiratory, feeding and muscle tone issues. We spent 8 weeks in the NICU and 2 weeks in the PICU before we were finally able to take our sweet boy home! Thanks to the wonderful staff at CHOC we always felt well taken care of and we love that it is now our home hospital for all of Zach's specialist visits. We are thrilled to be participating in this years walk! We will be walking with Zach's friend Noah and his family/team. Noah is an amazing 2 year old warrior who has overcome so many obstacles and continues to plow down anything or anyone that stands in his way! CHOC has played a major role in keeping Noah alive and thriving so we want to do our part to make sure they can continue to help kids like Noah and Zach as well as the millions of other kids they help. The fundraising efforts of the CHOC Walk make an immediate impact on families going through the most challenging time in their lives. CHOC provides the highest level of care not only to patients, but to the siblings, parents, and extended family that make up their critical support teams.
