I am so excited to be participating in the 2017 CHOC Walk in the Park for the 3rd time! But this time it means more to me than it did before. Our twins Ariel and Max were recently diagnosed with Retinoblastoma (an eye cancer) and without facilities like CHOC or CHLA (Children's Hospital Los Angeles) our babies would have lost their eyes and possibly much more. The specialist for their disease is in Los Angeles so we go to CHLA but we also go to CHOC for all their lab/blood draws and routine physical checks which is helpful and saves us driving and are super helpful with any questions we have or for any emergencies. The fundraising efforts of the CHOC Walk make an immediate impact on families going through the most challenging time in their lives like what we've been going through.
